“GPT Unleashed for Sheets” (“Add-on”) is an independent tool designed to enhance your experience with Google Sheets™ by providing the ability to interact with APIs, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and OpenRouter, directly from your spreadsheets in the browser of your choice. This Add-on is developed by Alexander Paul, site-owner of AlexPaul.io. It is not affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, Google LLC, or their affiliates. By installing or using the Add-on, you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”).

1. Acceptance of Terms

Your use of the Add-on signifies your acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not install or use the Add-on.

2. Description of Service

The Add-on allows you to:

Generate AI-powered responses from API providers, including OpenAI’s GPT models, Anthropic’s Claude, and OpenRouter-supported APIs within Google Sheets™.
Utilize reusable prompt patterns or parts of prompts, referred to as ‘Roles’ and ‘Contexts’, which are appended or prepended to API calls for custom interactions.
Manage various settings, roles, and contexts to personalize your use of APIs, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and OpenRouter, within Google Sheets™.

3. API Keys and Privacy

Users must supply their own API keys for services like OpenAI, Anthropic, and OpenRouter. The Add-on creator does not and will never store or access these keys. They are exclusively stored and managed within a user’s Google Sheets™ environment.

Personal information like names and email addresses is processed and stored solely for newsletter subscription and license management.

We employ Google Cloud services and Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH) for email marketing, and Sendgrid (by Twilio) for transactional emails.

4. User Responsibilities and Risks

You (“the Add-on user”) are responsible for any charges incurred with your API key(s) from providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, and OpenRouter.

Use of the Add-on is at your own risk. The developer is not liable for any errors, bugs, or malfunctions in the Add-on or any resulting damages.

You recognize that the Add-on may be in its early stages of development at the time of your initial installation and use. Despite the developer’s diligent efforts to rigorously test and regularly release updates, it is not guaranteed that the Add-on will be entirely free of errors, bugs, or malfunctions that could lead to excessive API credit usage. To mitigate such risks, a caching mechanism has been thoughtfully implemented, reflecting the developer’s commitment to quality and user safety.

It is your responsibility to promptly report any discovered bugs, errors, or malfunctions related to the Add-on to the developer. Such reports should be sent immediately via email to hi (at) alexpaul.io. This proactive communication is essential for the timely resolution of issues and the continuous improvement of the Add-on. Please note that the identification and reporting of such issues do not entitle the reporter to any form of compensation or bounty from the developer.

5. Limited License and Restrictions

This Add-on grants a limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license for use under these Terms.

To access the full features of the Add-on beyond the initial 30 API calls, users are required to subscribe to the developer’s newsletter. Upon successful subscription and double opt-in confirmation, users will be provided with a license key.

The provided license key remains active as long as the user is subscribed to the newsletter. If a user opts out of the newsletter, their license key will be deactivated.

Users must not misuse the Add-on, including reverse engineering or unauthorized distribution.

6. Intellectual Property

The Add-on, its original content, and features are owned by Alexander Paul / AlexPaul.io.

Trademarks and brand names mentioned (e.g., Google Sheets™, OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter) belong to their respective owners and are not associated with this Add-on.

7. Limitation of Liability

The developer disclaims all liability for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Add-on.

The developer is not responsible for any costs, expenses, or damages resulting from the use of or inability to use the Add-on due to overspending on API credits or other reasons.

The developer shall not be liable for any form of data loss, corruption, or unauthorized access to data resulting from the use of the Add-on.

The developer assumes no responsibility for disruptions or impaired functionality due to external factors such as internet connectivity issues, Google Sheets™ service interruptions, or changes in APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter.

The user acknowledges that the Add-on does not offer backup services for any data processed or generated, and it is the user’s responsibility to ensure appropriate data backup and security measures are in place.

8. Amendments to Terms

These Terms may be updated or changed periodically. Continued use of the Add-on after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes.
